i'm hooked...

Well, my friends - against my better judgment I have been sucked into the world of facebook. Look me up on there, if you've a mind to. **the xanga falls into disrepair** (Oh wait, you won't know what my xanga in disrepair looks like)...at least now you know I am alive. -Kendra

West Coast 2006 - Part 1

Waaay too many pics from this last trip. Following are the first three days in OR/CA:

The Beach:

Cousins:

Buttercup, a.k.a. Jennifer Miller:

Bachelorettes:

The not-so-blushing bride:

Awww:

The wedding party...what a great group of people:

The cakes, created by Kristen...like whoa!!! (hey, i umm, did the flowers on top):

We thought this was a good idea at the time...or someone did:

The soon-to-be-weds...and the classic Royer sneer:

More familiar faces: Dan, Jenna, Bruce.

"Hey, what are they doing in there?"

Kelly with big hair (!) and sweaty Jared (eww) after cleaning up from the wedding and hooping it up some:

Pretty much zoned that night: Kristen, Kelly, Starla, Kristyna, (and Andrew's hand) -

More Beach (oooh, aahhhh....):

The great forest...

...with gigantic trees...

...and slugs...

...and ferns.

Last night at the beach, watching the sun go down:

I'm very delinquent in posting over the past month or so...this post doesn't nearly capture all the trips, weddings, get-togethers...

Hey, Jennifer...someone you know!

Photos from this weekend:

Before the show:

Allow me to brag on my baby brother - he was in "Hello Dolly"  this past weekend and did a great job. The director came up and told us that if he is involved again next year, she'll give him a main part! It's that youngest child thing...

This is in the haymow of our barn, we have christened it "Benz Fieldhouse..." (pretty sweet, it will definitely be the hangout this winter). Hey, basketball is what we do in Indiana.

Jo, me, and Chelle...for once, a good pic:

Part of our Sunday aft. canoe trip....we were all soaked...so much for my "canoes are hard to tip" theory....that only works if no one is trying to tip the canoe.

Verity Visit

The Great Canoe Trip

Kate - master steerer - taking out reeds and plants barely slowed us down.

Approx. 30 sec. into the trip, as I was explaining how difficult it is to tip a canoe:

Paul and Blocki...we tried connecting our two boats for awhile...until we realized that two is not necessarily better than one...and they called us "clingy"

It wasn't a race, but...a little competition never hurt anyone, either...

...Well, until Becky started whacking me with the paddle. Basically, she was getting a little too aggressive.

The reason I'm laughing is the reason we won...we made them stop to take our picture...(actually, we were passing them anyway...)

The Rescue of the Bright Yellow Folding Chair

Hey, what are freezing water temps when a folding chair is on the line?

Lunch...the closest we came to a group shot:

Trip to Holland

We went to church with this pair:

The coffee shop circuit began (3 in one afternoon):

Micah...hmmm...:

Three in one...umm...cozy couch...

Tristan's eye was tired:

The Brink Bros.:

Hey, I was more than sick of pictures by this point:

Becky and Ricki were too:

Kudos to all those whose pictures I stole.

It was a great weekend. These are very special people.
